A client's interaction with MYTHSEEKER software can suggest promising avenues of therapy and help to focus lifeshapes and aspirations. Psychodrama is an important possible avenue for projection of mythic symbolism within enactments. Participation with the software can emulate how the client "structures" his or her world, e.g., via projective involvement with mythic beings and other elements of Depth Systems. In effect the software can help to create mythic narrative useful in interpreting the person's experience. During assessment the client chooses preferred modes of time experience, visual textures, and other existential variables, all of which can shape experience within the virtual environment. These uses of the software are likely of interest to psychiatrists, psychotherapists, social workers in private practice or with institutions.
The therapist can guide the client in finding mythic content in nondirective or directive fashion. Furthermore, the therapist can suggest that the client experience specific Depth System as contributory to a Personal Depth System. The therapist can appear as a virtual therapist in Primal Virtual Space or any Depth System. Every Depth System includes a special enactment in which a client participates with the therapist for guidance or assistance. More generally the therapist is included as a mythic agent within every Depth System so that the client can participate with or role-play as the therapist. There is a mythic human agent in every Depth System who expresses highest attainment for the Depth System.
A client can develop a Personal Depth System giving content, symbolism, and meaning. The client can also contribute personally meaningful elements to World Depth System. He or she can be referred to external sources for living, searching experience, then return to continue building the Personal Depth System.

MYTHSEEKER software may be used as an adjunct to changing the pattern of substance abuse by building Person Myth facilitating an approach to reality, all within a psychotherapy setting. This is instrumented for the patient by building a Personal Depth System, creating new or modified patterns of meaning based on life experience combined with symbolism and aspirations. The Personal Depth System can incorporate mythic participation with situations that led to addiction, integrating these with nurturing elements of an evolving Personal Myth. This is likely of use to mental health centers, half-way houses, prisons, or hospitals.
