This ability can help to bring about continuing mythic involvement within the transition surrounding death and mortality. This fosters an approach to death with dignity and a continuing, numinous, mythic life. MYTHSEEKER assists transition experiences may help the person to attain mythic meaning. A sense of the presence of living Personal Myth can be nurturing and encouraging in many ways. The person can thereby be helped through meditations that he or she might prefer. The form of virtual reality used should not be obtrusive or uncomfortable in any way. Beautiful and transporting virtual environments would be wondrous and healing.
EDUCATION
MYTHSEEKER software is a vehicle to explore the variety of myth at many levels. Students of comparative religion are enabled to experience Depth Systems both individually and according to themes of similarity and difference. There is strong possibility for applications to promote cross-cultural communication—persons in different cultures may explore one another's cultural roots reflecting deep levels of mythic symbolism and meaning for life enhancement. Appropriate settings are universities, high schools, grammar schools, and community outreach centers.
MYTHSEEKER allows new dimensions in education. Respect and tolerance for the range of cultures and approaches to spirituality can be awakened which might help to heal some of the fragmentation of our time so much of which is related to rigid patterns leading to exclusion of others. The ability to compare similarities and differences in mythic symbols and metaphors can lead to new ways of experiencing and understanding. The beauty, grandeur, and wonder of myth-seeking can become available to many persons, in many cultures, who might not otherwise have an ability to experience them.
